04 LIFE IN LEEDS There’s a great choice of supermarkets nearby. A large Asda and Tesco Extra are both just a few minutes’ drive away. There’s also a McColls mini supermarket right near the development, where there is also a cafe, beauty salon and a handy post office. You also have a choice of retail parks close to home. Seacroft Green Shopping Centre and Crossgates Shopping Centre are both just a 1 minute drive away. There are many other walking trails, from toddler‐friendly paths to something for the serious walker. Many sports clubs make use of the park, from running and rowing clubs to Pramexercise classes, there’s lots to get involved in. Tropical World is also part of Roundhay Park. Home to the largest collection of tropical plants outside Kew Gardens, the famous Butterfly House is must. Or if you just want to relax, you can do that too. Take a gentle stroll in the many beautiful gardens or chill out with a coffee in the lakeside Café. If you love getting out and about, this is the place for you. The Wyke Beck Way is a major walking and cycling network and you can pick it up just down the road. The section near the development winds its way along the Wyke Beck Valley and it’s a great way to get around the area. Victoria Quarter It’s easy to see that this location is a great setting for families and there’s a good choice of schools nearby. Beechwood Primary is less than a ten minute walk away. For older children, Bishop Young C of E Academy and Leeds East Academy are also close to home.
