STRATEGIC REPORT Developing our product We continue to innovate and develop our standard house type range to meet the requirements of our customers, our partners and external stakeholders. Based on their feedback, our designs are continually reviewed with a focus on efficiency, safety, regulatory compliance and the growing demands of our partners for Zero Carbon performance in operation. In response to customer demand, all new developments now have the benefit of 1 Gigabit Day One connectivity, access to a choice of Wi-Fi providers and access to bespoke lower cost options for low-income households. Our Group Product and Technical Development teams are collaborating with our multi-disciplinary Low Carbon Delivery Team, to ensure house type designs are developed to achieve both the requirements of Part L in 2023 and the anticipated legislative requirements of Future Homes in England from 2025, under which homes will be required to deliver 31% and subsequently 75% reduction in carbon emissions. Under the Future Homes Standard, new homes will be future proof with low carbon heating and higher levels of energy efficiency to enable Net Zero carbon performance to be achieved with the greening of the National Grid. We will be running Future Homes Standard product trials during 2022. Similarly, we are working to ensure that house types for delivery in Scotland and Wales are developed in line with their legislative requirements. Our Group Technical Director is a member of the Future Homes Oversight Group, and we are active participants in the Future Homes Hub, which is providing support to the housebuilding industry in its preparation for delivery of the Future Homes Standard. Standard house types made up 76% of homes completed in the year and this continues to support our efficiency in delivery and drive high levels of customer satisfaction.
