04 EVERYTHING YOU COULD

04 EVERYTHING YOU COULD ASK FOR LIFE IN BRIDLINGTON Thanks to its excellent location, just over a mile from the centre of Bridlington, you can look forward to living in a quiet rural setting with all the amenities of the popular seaside town has to offer on your doorstep. A short stroll away is the welcoming Lobster Pot pub which is a popular spot to meet up for a meal, drinks and a catch‐up with friends. With Bridlington just 2 miles down the road, you can be enjoying all it has to offer with ease. For the essentials there is a choice of supermarkets, there is also an excellent range of shops which include all the high street favourites as well as more intimate boutiques in the old part of town. After you’ve shopped ‘till you drop, try one of the many cafes, bars or restaurants on offer. Or perhaps you’d prefer one of the fish and chip shops sat overlooking the historic harbour? Evening entertainment can be found at the Forum Complex with the cinema and bowling facilities, or why not visit the Spotlight Theatre or Bridlington Spa which boasts a dance hall and theatre. Those with children will be pleased to know that Salkeld Meadows has a number of schools and colleges within easy reach. These include nearby Hilderthorpe Primary School and Bridlington Secondary School, both of which are rated Good by Ofsted, as well as East Riding College, Bishop Burton College and Hull University. If you’re into your sport, you’re in for a treat. For starters, there’s a golf course across the road and if you’re into water sports you’ll be spoilt for choice with every option you can think of available along the coast. Then, there is East Riding Leisure Bridlington with its gym, classes and swimming pool which includes water slides. For days out, you don’t have to go far to have fun. Everyone’s favourite is a trip to the beach and award‐winning promenade. With a funfair and amusements on offer plus leisurely walks, you can look forward to a traditional day out at the seaside. Or if you’d prefer something a bit more relaxing, then there is Flamborough Headland Heritage Coast to explore which has one of the most impressive areas of chalk cliffs in England. You can also visit nearby Sewerby Hall & Gardens or hop onto one of the land trains that run along the promenade. For a more historic day out, the city of York is just an hour or so drive away.
